Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Lien Negotiator & Referral Coordinator to support our employment and accident practice. This role is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating medical liens on behalf of injured clients while also managing the firm's litigation referral pipeline. The ideal candidate has experience in personal injury lien resolution, strong negotiation skills, excellent follow-up abilities, and familiarity with California lien reduction practices.

Lien Negotiation & Resolution

  • Review medical records, billing statements, and lien documentation to assess outstanding balances and identify reduction opportunities.
  • Negotiate lien reductions with medical providers, hospitals, health insurers, third-party lien companies, and government agencies.
  • Communicate directly with lien holders, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, ERISA plans, and private medical providers.
  • Draft and send lien reduction requests, settlement notices, and related correspondence.
  • Track and manage lien statuses across an active caseload, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and case managers regarding settlement timelines and lien resolution strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and settlement disbursement requirements.
  • Prepare and finalize client distribution statements and letters that accurately reflect all lienholders and negotiated lien amounts.
  • Follow matters through final lien resolution and settlement disbursement.

Referral Management & Coordination

  • Manage the firm's outgoing litigation referral process and tracking system.
  • Follow up with referral firms to confirm acceptance or rejection of referred matters.
  • Obtain and maintain fully executed referral agreements for all accepted referrals.
  • Conduct periodic status updates with referral firms, including six-month check-ins on active referred cases.
  • Maintain organized referral records, including case status, key milestones, referral agreements, and follow-up deadlines.
  • Coordinate with internal staff and referral partners to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with referral arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in personal injury lien negotiation, lien resolution, or personal injury case management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience communicating with medical providers, insurers, and lien holders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management systems.
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting correspondence and settlement-related documents.
  • Familiarity with California personal injury practices and lien reduction procedures preferred.
  • Experience working with Medicare, Medi-Cal, ERISA, and private medical liens preferred.
  • Understanding of settlement disbursement processes and client distribution statements.
  • Experience working remotely in a legal support role.

Compensation

  • Remote position.
  • Monthly compensation starting at approximately PHP 50,000 per month.
  • Compensation is flexible and may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated fit for the role.
