Our client is a rapidly scaling fintech company on a mission to build the world's leading private wealth management platform. Its investments marketplace connects accredited investors with premium private credit opportunities and is expanding quickly across Asia. As the company grows from $100M to $1B in assets under management and ventures into crypto-driven initiatives, it's strengthening its product engineering team with a Fullstack Developer / Solution Architect.
This pivotal role will own architecture decisions across backend and frontend, ensuring seamless, secure, and engaging digital experiences that empower investors to reach their goals.
Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Define and own the technical architecture for client's platform backend services, frontend apps, APIs, integrations, and data flows.
- Ensure scalability, security, and compliance in a regulated fintech environment.
- Translate business and product requirements into robust, future-proof technical solutions.
Fullstack Engineering
- Build and maintain high-quality, performant features across Java/Spring Boot backends and React.js/React Native frontends.
- Mentor engineers across the stack to ensure consistency, maintainability, and adherence to client's design principles and best technical solutions including automated pipelines and tests.
- Optimize user journeys end-to-end, from backend logic to intuitive UI delivery on a secure, robust and reliable building blocks.
- Experience with microservice architecture, supported by containerization and willingess of coding with AI as of today Claude preferably.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with client's growth roadmap.
- Optimize the platform for scalability as we expand from hundreds of millions to billions in transaction volume while still keeping the simplicity.
- Guide teams through trade-offs in performance, usability, and scalability.
- Foster a culture of clean and documented code, strong testing practices, and continuous improvement.
- Be ready to switch between React.js and React Native when bringing native mobile app up to life.
Quality & Reliability
- Write clean, testable code with strong unit and integration coverage. Followed up by test cases in Browserstack.
- Partner with QA and DevOps to ensure smooth releases across web and mobile.
- Stay current with modern engineering practices, proactively introducing improvements.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in of development experience (React, Next.js, and/or similar modern frameworks). A good eye for design, usability, and responsive layouts.
- Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, Java, with Springboot experience. Showcase your extra mile on becoming a Fullstack developer (can be personal projects or past work experience)
- Proven track record in solution architecture, designing scalable, secure systems in fintech, SaaS, or other regulated industries.
- Experience integrating APIs, optimizing performance, and handling security in fintech or regulated environments. Experience within the crypto space is a plus.
- Growth mindset comfortable in a fast-paced, international scale-up environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
