Role Overview

We are seeking experienced and inexperienced Korean–English Medical Interpreters for a full-time, remote Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) position. This role supports medical appointments, consultations, and urgent healthcare interactions. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who value accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in high-stakes medical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, impartial interpretation between Korean-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providers
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Apply strong knowledge of medical terminology and interpreter ethics
• Handle sensitive and urgent medical calls with professionalism
• Remain available during assigned shifts and participate in quality reviews or team check-ins as required

Candidate Qualifications

• Fluency in Korean and English
• High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred)
• Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills
• Comfortable working remotely and managing varied call types
• Must successfully pass a language proficiency assessment and background check

Remote Work Requirements

To Ensure Seamless Communication, You'll Need:

• A quiet workspace, free from distractions
• USB wired headset and a plain white T-shirt (required for video calls)
• Laptop or PC with:
• Intel Core i5 (8th generation or higher)
• 8 GB RAM
• 1080p webcam
• High-speed wired internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload)
• A solid grey background for video calls
