Full Stack / Python Developer - Build the Engine Behind a Fintech Product

We have a working prototype. Now we need someone to turn it into a real product.

PulseTheta is a Germany-based fintech company building analytics and backtesting software for systematic, rules-based strategies in the stock and options markets. The prototype works — it just wasn't built to last. That's where you come in.

You'd be one of our first hires, working directly with the founder. No layers, no ticket queue, no waiting three weeks for a decision. You build something, it ships, it gets used.

What the job actually is

You'll own the backend. Python services and data pipelines, automated jobs that have to run correctly every single day, databases that need to be modelled properly rather than grown by accident, external data APIs that lie to you occasionally and need to be caught doing it.

You'll also work on the dashboard — React and TypeScript, data-heavy tables and charts. Not pixel-pushing, but the interface where all that backend work becomes visible and useful.

Who we're looking for

• Strong, production-level Python. This is the heart of the role.
• You've built data pipelines and scheduled workloads that other people depend on
• Solid SQL, and you can design a schema — not just query one
• Comfortable with large datasets and analytical queries
• React + TypeScript at a working level: enough to build and extend a dashboard
• You own features end to end, from database to interface
• You don't trust your own numbers until you've checked them twice. In this domain, a wrong number that looks right is worse than a crash.
• Independent, reliable, and you write code the next person can read

• Workflow orchestration and job scheduling
• Columnar or analytical data formats
• Containerization and deployment automation
• Financial or time-series data
• You use AI tools seriously in your work — we do too
