VisioGen is building the future of AI-powered healthcare by developing human-verified clinical communication solutions for ophthalmology practices. We combine cutting-edge Generative AI with clinical expertise to build scalable, production-ready applications that enhance patient engagement and improve healthcare delivery.
We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Lead Developer, backend-focused, with 4-6+ years of experience in .NET Core, C#, and modern backend development practices. The ideal candidate should be able to code backend services, work with databases, and build APIs, with strong preferred experience on the React frontend as well & not just familiarity with it. The role requires hands-on experience with Docker, file upload and handling, network sockets, and SignalR, along with a solid understanding of code coverage and unit testing. Comfort using AI-assisted coding tools as part of day-to-day development is also a key attribute.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance backend applications using .NET Core and C#.
- Work with databases and build/enhance/maintain REST APIs.
- Develop features involving file upload, processing, and secure file handling.
- Build real-time communication solutions using SignalR and manage network socket programming as required.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
- Implement and monitor code coverage using appropriate tools (e.g., Coverlet, dotCover).
- Containerize applications and services using Docker, ensuring reliable builds and deployments across environments.
- Code and enhance frontend features in React.js/TypeScript as needed.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) as part of the standard development workflow, including code generation and reviews, and apply AI assistance across the SDLC where useful.
- Proactively debug issues, analyze logs, and perform root cause analysis to resolve bugs or performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement of coding standards and architecture; guide the Developer-level engineer on the team
What we're looking for
- 4-6+ years of professional experience in .NET Core and C#.
- Hands-on experience working with databases and building APIs.
- Strong, real experience with React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript beyond basic exposure.
- Solid experience with network sockets and SignalR for real-time features.
- Proficiency in file upload, file I/O, and handling large/binary files securely.
- Deep understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and measuring code coverage.
- Strong hands-on experience in creating and managing Docker containers.
- Good knowledge of REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and dependency injection.
- Well-versed in using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) for assistive coding and across the SDLC used day-to-day, not just aware of.
- Familiar with Git and version control workflows.
- Experience with Entity Framework Core or other ORM tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure .
- Exposure to message queues such as Azure Service Bus.
- Knowledge of log aggregation and monitoring tools.
