About the Role

Fabric is looking for a Full Stack Engineer who can own product features end-to-end, from design through delivery. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building reliable backend systems, shipping thoughtful frontend experiences, and working in a fast-moving product environment.

You will work across the stack, with a strong focus on Python and Django, while also contributing to frontend development using React and Node.js. We are looking for someone who has demonstrated ownership of independently delivered modules, complete product features, or startup-style generalist engineering work.

Key Responsibilities

• Own full product features from design through delivery.
• Build backend services using Python, Django, and Celery.
• Work on distributed systems and asynchronous processing workflows.
• Develop frontend experiences using React and Node.js.
• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to ship reliable features.
• Contribute to architecture, implementation, testing, and production readiness of product modules.
• Take ownership of engineering decisions and deliver features with minimal handholding.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with Django.
• Ability to independently own and ship complete features or modules.
• Experience working in early- to mid-stage product companies.
• Solid understanding of backend engineering and API development.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Celery.
• Experience with asynchronous job processing or background workers.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Frontend development experience with React.
• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience working in startup or product engineering environments.

Desired Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience working in early- to mid-stage product companies.
• Demonstrated ownership of full features, independently delivered modules, or startup-style generalist product engineering work.
• Experience building scalable backend services and contributing across the stack.

• Experience owning and delivering features end-to-end.
• A solid understanding of backend systems and API development.
• Exposure to React and/or Node.js.
• The ability to work independently and make sound engineering decisions.
• A strong product mindset and a bias toward execution.
