Requirements

• Strong experience in frontend and backend technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive design, browser APIs, Python, and HTTP services.
• Experience building and maintaining data-rich single-page applications using JavaScript and charting libraries such as ECharts or D3.
• Experience with Python application development, modular architecture, input validation, error handling, logging, concurrency, and background processing.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, server-sent events, asynchronous workflows, pagination, rate limiting, and API integrations.
• Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as Jira Cloud, Jira Agile APIs, Planview, OAuth2, API tokens, and Basic Authentication.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience, including PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQLAlchemy, data modelling, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.
• Experience designing reliable ETL pipelines, including data extraction, transformation, validation, retry handling, idempotency, and incremental processing.
• Experience with analytics and reporting, including aggregations, time-series data, KPIs, forecasting, Monte Carlo simulation, and statistical interpretation.
• Familiarity with Python data and machine-learning libraries such as NumPy and scikit-learn.
• Experience with automated testing using pytest, unit testing, integration testing, API testing, mocking, regression testing, and test-driven development.
• Good foundation in secure software development, including OWASP principles, XSS prevention, injection protection, CORS, secrets management, API authentication, secure headers, and dependency vulnerability management.
• Experience generating business reports and exports, including Excel and PowerPoint outputs.
• Familiarity with Azure services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Entra ID, application monitoring, and cloud deployment practices.
• Good foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and clean, maintainable programming.
• Awareness and adherence to web standards, responsive design, accessibility principles, ARIA, and WCAG.
• Familiarity with modern software architecture, API-driven development, transactional systems, event-based processing, and data-authoritative application design.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles, continuous integration, automated security scanning, dependency management, SBOM generation, and production support.
• Understanding of how technology supports Insurance business strategy, portfolio delivery, risk management, and executive decision-making.
• Ability to understand and preserve business rules relating to Jira scope, program increments, baselines, velocity, delivery risk, dependencies, and forecasting.
• Collaborative attitude, willingness to participate in design discussions, code reviews, technical documentation, demos, and knowledge sharing.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, or a modern frontend framework.
• Experience deploying applications to Azure, including App Service, Container Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Key Vault, Application Insights, and Entra ID.
• Experience with ,GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Planview, OKR platforms, portfolio management, resource planning, financial data, or enterprise delivery management.
• Experience with machine-learning model evaluation, backtesting, confidence intervals, feature engineering, and model monitoring.
• Experience with browser automation and frontend testing tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
• Knowledge of accessibility testing and inclusive design practices.
• Knowledge of static application security testing, dynamic application security testing, API fuzzing, Semgrep, Bandit, pip-audit, SonarQube, or similar tools.
• Exposure to event streaming, message queues, caching, distributed systems, and microservice architectures.
• Experience with executive dashboards, portfolio reporting, delivery metrics, or business intelligence platforms.
• Experience explaining high-level solution architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
