About the role: We are seeking an experienced Team Lead / Senior Full-Stack Developer to serve as the technical leader of our Manila development team. This role combines hands-on full-stack engineering with team leadership and cross-regional collaboration. The successful candidate will act as the primary technical escalation point, code review authority, and architectural partner to US-based engineering leadership.
Work Location: Taguig City
Work Setup: Hybrid (first 2 months) & Remote (after 2 months)
Work Shift: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Contract Duration: 6-12 months (extendable depending on the project)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily team standups and manage technical alignment within the Manila team
- Serve as the primary reviewer and quality gatekeeper for all pull requests
- Architect and develop complex full-stack solutions across web, mobile, and backend systems
- Mentor and support developers in their technical growth and performance
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Coordinate closely with US-based stakeholders to ensure smooth handoffs and delivery
Qualifications:
- 7 years of full-stack development experience using React and Node.js/NestJS
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including strict typing and shared API contracts
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful and/or GraphQL services
- Working knowledge of Python for APIs and data processing
- Hands-on experience with AWS services; familiarity with Azure is preferred
- Proven experience leading development teams of 510 engineers
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with US-based leadership
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
