Overview:

Position summary:

The Full Stack Web Developer designs, builds, supports and improves web applications, websites and digital tools that support both customers and internal teams. Working across front-end and back-end technologies, this role develops secure, scalable solutions hosted on AWS and Azure, manages WordPress websites, and maintains product data platforms.

The role partners closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions that improve customer experience, automate processes and increase operational efficiency. Success in this role requires strong technical capability, sound problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a collaborative approach.

What are the primary responsibilities of the role

Application Development & Support:

• Design, develop, deploy and maintain customer-facing and internal web applications.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure and user-friendly solutions.
• Support application performance, reliability and continuous improvement.
• Produce and maintain appropriate technical documentation.

Cloud & DevOps:

• Develop and support applications hosted on AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Maintain deployment pipelines, monitoring and operational support processes.
• Apply security, backup and recovery controls to ensure system resilience and compliance.

Business Systems & Automation:

• Enhance internal applications, workflows and business processes through automation and modernization.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and user experience.
• Provide ongoing support, maintenance and issue resolution.

Website & Digital Platforms:

• Manage and maintain WordPress websites across multiple markets.
• Ensure websites meet performance, accessibility, security and brand standards.
• Support digital initiatives that improve customer engagement and online experience.

Product Data Management:

• Maintain accurate and timely product information across CMS and customer platforms.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure data quality and effective content governance.

Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement:

• Comply with company policies, security standards and safety requirements.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes and digital platforms.

Key challenges:

• Delivering secure, scalable and user-friendly digital solutions across multiple platforms and cloud environments.
• Managing competing priorities across application development, website management and business support activities.

Mandatory (critical for the role):

• 5+ years experience in Full Stack, Web Application or Software Development.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience developing and supporting customer-facing web applications.
• Experience delivering solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong experience with modern front-end and back-end development technologies.

Desirable (preferable for the role):

• Experience developing and supporting applications hosted on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with WordPress administration and development
• Experience building internal business applications and workflow automation solutions.
• Experience with CMS or product information management platforms.
• Skills (technical, business, leadership)
• Strong full stack development capability, including modern front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience designing, developing and supporting cloud-based applications in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of database design, API integration and scalable application architecture.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control and automated testing.
• Understanding of cyber security principles, secure coding practices and application governance.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative team environment.
