About the Role
We're looking for a skilled full stack engineer to join our Back Office team at a fulfillment logistics company. You'll be developing and maintaining critical business systems that power our operations, working with modern technologies to build scalable solutions that support our B2B e-commerce platform and internal operations. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll work across the entire stack, integrate with multiple third-party services, and contribute to our proprietary ERP system that manages our fulfillment operations.
What You'll Do
- Develop Full Stack Features: Build and maintain features across our Laravel backend and React frontend, ensuring seamless user experiences for our back office operations
- API Development & Integration: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, and integrate with various third-party services including shipping carriers, payment processors, and marketplace platforms
- Search & Analytics: Implement and optimize search functionality using Elasticsearch and build operational dashboards with Kibana
- ERP Enhancement: Contribute to our proprietary ERP system, developing features that support B2B e-commerce workflows including order management, inventory tracking, and fulfillment processes
- Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive tests using Test-Driven Development practices to ensure code reliability and maintainability
- System Integration: Connect our platform with external services and partners, handling data transformation and ensuring smooth data flow across systems
- Collaborate & Iterate: Work closely with operations, product, and other engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions quickly
What you bring
- Full Stack Development: 3-5 years of professional experience building web applications with Laravel (PHP) and React, with strong proficiency in both frontend and backend development
- API Development & Integration: Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs, along with integrating third-party APIs (payment gateways, shipping APIs, marketplace integrations, etc.)
- Elasticsearch & Kibana: Hands-on experience implementing search functionality with Elasticsearch and creating visualizations/dashboards in Kibana
- ERP & B2B E-commerce: Background working on ERP systems or B2B e-commerce platforms, understanding complex business workflows like order management, inventory control, and fulfillment operations
- Test-Driven Development: Strong commitment to writing tests, with experience in TDD practices and testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Jest, React Testing Library)
- Startup Experience: Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities can shift and you need to be adaptable and self-directed
- Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework (routing, Eloquent ORM, queues, events)
- Solid experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript (hooks, state management, component architecture)
- Experience with RESTful API design principles and authentication (OAuth, JWT)
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch queries, indexing strategies, and Kibana dashboard creation
- Proficiency with MySQL or PostgreSQL and database design
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Understanding of API integration patterns and handling webhook events
- Experience with testing frameworks and writing unit/integration tests
