Job Description
- Develop new product capabilities and integrate third-party systems across backend and frontend platforms.
- Build, maintain, and enhance applications using PHP/Laravel and React.
- Design, implement, and support RESTful APIs and external system integrations.
- Manage relational databases, including schema improvements and performance tuning.
- Create automated tests to improve software stability and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and reduce technical debt.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements into clear development tasks.
- Work within event-driven architectures using command and event bus patterns.
- Contribute to systems operating in AWS and Kubernetes environments across both monolithic and microservice architectures.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design principles to create scalable and loosely coupled solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and promote high-quality development standards.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven professional experience developing applications with PHP and Laravel.
- Strong backend development expertise with working knowledge of React and frontend technologies.
- Experience building and supporting REST APIs in production environments.
- Solid understanding of relational database design, optimisation, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of secure web application development practices.
- Experience writing automated tests and ensuring software quality.
- Ability to explain technical decisions and contributions made to previous projects.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills when engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and capable of delivering results within complex, fast-paced environments.
