Overview

The Full-Stack Developer Cadet is a 6-month paid position designed to launch careers in tech. This is a structured training program where you'll learn professional full-stack development while contributing to real products. You'll work alongside experienced engineers who will mentor you, provide feedback, and help you grow from foundational knowledge to production-ready capability. If you perform well and demonstrate readiness, you'll transition to a permanent Junior Full-Stack Developer role with full-time salary and benefits.

This is not a temporary internship. This is a paid stepping stone to permanent employment.

What You'll Do

As a Full-Stack Developer Cadet, you'll work on real production code under the guidance of our senior developers. Your day-to-day work includes:

  • Writing Code: Contribute to front-end and back-end features with support from your team. You'll write real code that goes into production.
  • Learning on the Job: Work with modern full-stack technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, databases, APIs, etc.) while your team teaches you best practices.

What You'll Learn

Over 6 months, you'll gain hands-on experience with:

  • Modern full-stack development practices and workflows
  • Professional coding standards and clean code principles
  • Version control (Git) and professional collaboration
  • Testing and quality assurance practices
  • How to debug and solve real problems
  • Communication in technical environments
  • Industry-standard tools and technologies

The 6-Month Structure

  • Get familiar with our codebase, tools, and team
  • Work on smaller, guided tasks with clear mentorship
  • Learn our development process and standards

Months 3-4: Growing capability

  • Take on more substantial features and tasks
  • Increase independence while still having support
  • Demonstrate growing technical understanding

Months 5-6: Demonstrating readiness

  • Handle more complex tasks independently
  • Mentor and learn from team feedback
  • Prepare for the conversion evaluation

Conversion to Full-Time (Month 6)

After 6 months, we evaluate your readiness for a permanent Junior Full-Stack Developer role. We assess:

  • Technical Growth: Have you developed your coding skills and understanding
  • Reliability: Do you consistently complete your work and follow through
  • Collaboration: Do you work well with the team and communicate effectively
  • Professionalism: Are you accountable and committed to improvement
  • Independence: Can you handle typical tasks without constant supervision

If you convert: You move to a permanent full-time Junior Developer position with competitive salary, benefits, and career growth opportunities.

If you don't convert: We end the cadetship and provide honest feedback on your progress. This isn't a failure, it's valuable career guidance for your next steps.
