The Qualifications We Seek

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• 3-5+ years ofdeliveringend-to-end Data Science and Machine Learning projects, with ownership across development, deployment, and production operations
• Hands-on Google Cloud Platform and Google Vertex AI experience, including model training, deployment, lifecycle management, and production operations
• Strong Python skills using pandas, scikit-learn, and XGBoost or LightGBM, plus strong SQL proficiency
• Experience working with data pipelines, APIs, CI/CD for ML projects, and Docker containerization
• Proven experience designing evaluation frameworks for machine learning outputs, with openness to applying similar practices to generative AI
• Ability to explain model decisions clearly to non-technical audiences using techniques such as SHAP or LIME
• Exposure to LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, generative AI, or agentic frameworks such as LangChain or ADK is highly valued but not required
• Familiarity with Terraform and Kubernetes is a strong advantage
• Experience with A/B testing, causal inference, or uplift modelling is a strong advantage
• Experience in Media, Telecommunications, or Finance is welcome but not essential

Your Daily Tasks

• Translate commercial goals into clear technical requirements in close collaboration with business partners
• Stay involved through deployment to ensure solutions deliver both technical and commercial value
• Develop machine learning models from customer behavior, product usage, and engagement data to support real business decisions
• Apply Python, including pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost or LightGBM, and SQL across large-scale datasets
• Apply strong feature engineering, validation, and model explainability to deliver reliable and trusted predictions
• Take models from validated concepts to live, monitored production services
• Containerize models with Docker and deploy through CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or similar tools
• Deploy and manage models on Google Vertex AI with drift detection, retraining, monitoring, and evaluation
• Apply Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform where appropriate
• Design solutions using large language models such as Gemini, Claude, or open-source models as the role evolves
• Explore agentic architectures using frameworks such as LangChain or ADK
• Develop retrieval-augmented systems using vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Weaviate
• Apply fine-tuning approaches such as LoRA or QLoRA as opportunities arise
• Write transformation logic in SQL or Python
• Orchestrate data pipelines using GCP, Airflow, or similar tools
• Query cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery directly
• Explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Build stakeholder trust and communicate the business impact of data science initiatives effectively
