About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Full‑Cycle Dental Biller – Denti‑Cal & Medicaid Specialist to join our billing team. The client is looking for someone with strong expertise in Denti-Cal and Medicaid, a solid understanding of the entire revenue cycle management (RCM) process, and the ability to confidently manage dental billing from start to finish.

This role involves working collaboratively with the rest of the billing team, sharing responsibilities to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. If you have a strong background in dental billing, insurance verification, and accounts receivable management, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Insurance Verification – Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits for PPO plans.
• Coordination of Benefits (COB) – Manage and resolve COB mismatches to ensure accurate claim processing.
• Payment Posting – Post insurance and patient payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accounts Receivable Management – Monitor and manage AR aging, follow up on unpaid claims, and ensure timely collections.
• Patient Collections – Contact parents or guardians to collect outstanding patient payment portions.
• Claims Processing – Submit and track dental claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Collaboration – Work alongside the billing team to ensure efficient revenue cycle operations.
• Compliance – Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to payer-specific billing guidelines.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience in dental billing (required)
• Strong knowledge of Denti-Cal and Medicaid
• Understanding of the entire revenue cycle management (RCM) process
• Experience in insurance verification, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up
• Familiarity with coordination of benefits (COB) and resolving mismatches
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills for patient and insurance carrier interactions
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional home office setup

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience with tab32 or similar dental billing software
• Familiarity with Nextiva VOIP system
• Background in dental or medical billing
