Job title: Full-Cycle Bookkeeper / Accountant
Shift Schedule: Mid-shift (approx. 4:00 AM 1:00 PM PHT) to allow for 34 hours of overlap with Calgary MST.

Role Overview The core purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive financial clarity and administrative stability across three distinct entities. By managing the full accounting cycle, this role allows the onshore office team to focus on day-to-day operations and business growth, ensuring all financial records are audit-ready and compliant with Canadian standards.
Primary Tasks
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for the core company and two subsidiaries.
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) accurately and timely.
- Execute basic payroll for approximately 20 field and 4 office staff members.
- Perform bank reconciliations and inter-company transfers.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including updating staff credentials and licenses.
- Maintain accurate records within Sage 100 Contractor via remote desktop and QuickBooks Online.
Required Experience
- Industry: Minimum 3+ years in the construction industry (Commercial Construction preferred).
- Regional Knowledge: Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles (GST/HST, payroll taxes, and provincial legislation).
- Technical: Experience managing multiple entities/subsidiaries simultaneously.
- Compliance: Familiarity with Australian or Canadian-style awards or labor compliance (specific to the construction sector).
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation (Philippines) is highly regarded.

- Proactive communicator comfortable working in a remote-access environment.
- High level of integrity regarding sensitive financial data.
Required Software/Systems
- Sage 100 Contractor (Must be comfortable with Remote Desktop/VPN environments).
- QuickBooks Online (QBO).

- Xero (for general comparative knowledge).
- Procore or other construction project management tools.
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced: Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
