Job Overview:
We're seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative who will be responsible for proactively monitoring all daily activities and shipments, monitor regulatory changes for processing Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) entries with CPB, and participate in team training.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the daily activities in the department, to ensure things are running smoothly.
- Ensure all compliance measures are being met.
- Collaborate with other Leaders to support team
- Assist in managing break & lunch schedules for the team to ensure compliance with California laws and company policies.
- Assist in tracking attendance late starts / early departures.
- Tracing discrepancies to see where errors have occurred.
- Train team members on processes in department
- Active participation in the processes of continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and cost reduction.
- Able to multitask with multiple shipments and issues at the same time.
- Help manage and control the required transportation of finished goods and raw material, including data entry requirements, document filing and reports.
- Control operation and issues related to Foreign Trade.
- Help manage all aspects of freight forwarder relationships.
- Manage and track critical inbound and outbound shipments.
- Process FTZ Entries with US Customs Border Protection (CBP)
- Maintain and upload eFiles for record keeping
- Upload files into orders.
- Directly responsible and accountable for the compliant and timely processing of FTZ shipments as assigned in accordance to established policy and procedures
- Provide accurate Reports to supervisor on a timely matter
- Requires processing of complex air shipments and requires more thorough understanding of customs clearances.
- Monitor all pending shipments to assure they are processed timely
- Creation of orders (BOL) into TMS using documents provided by freight forwarder (MAWB)
- Creation of delivery orders
- Creation of consols
Qualifications:
- Positive can do attitude, able to respond to requests in friendly manners all the time with respect, responsiveness, and results, all in line with company values.
- Experience in document control, customs, and transportation
- Automated Export System (ACE) Certification
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Strong organizational skill in terms of details and follow up, all with accuracy and On Time.
- Ability to comprehend commercial documents, related to import/export/ land transportation.
- Expertise in Foreign Trade and import/export management.
- Working knowledge of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, supervisors, customers, vendors, and employees
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence others.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with employees, customers, vendors, managers.
- Ability to prepare written reports and other documents
- Advanced computer skills, including the use of Windows, e-mail and Microsoft Office, Outlook
- All other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Sunday - Tuesday, 3:00 AM - 12:30 PM Manila Time
Work Setup: Home-based (Eastwood QC)
- Should have strong internet connection (minimum of 50 mbps)
