Job Description

The Front Office Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the front desk to ensure efficient guest service, smooth check-in and check-out procedures, and high levels of customer satisfaction. The role includes supervising front office staff, resolving guest concerns, and coordinating with other departments to maintain excellent service standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of front desk staff, including receptionists and guest service agents.
  • Ensure efficient guest check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor front desk operations to maintain service standards and company policies.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate front office staff performance.
  • Prepare work schedules and manage staff assignments.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, reservations, and other departments regarding room status and guest needs.
  • Ensure accurate handling of reservations, billing, and payments.
  • Maintain proper documentation and reports related to front office operations.
  • Assist in implementing hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Ensure the front desk area remains organized and presentable at all times.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 23 years of experience in front office operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions

  • Typically works in a hotel front desk environment.
  • May require shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Standing for extended periods may be required.
