Role Description The Freelance Writer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Cebu. The writer will create clear, accurate, and engaging written content related to mining operations, safety guidelines, company updates, and internal communications. Day-to-day tasks include drafting articles, reports, and announcements, refining technical information into accessible language, and ensuring consistency with company standards and terminology. The role involves collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and administrative staff to gather information, verify facts, and meet deadlines. The writer will also assist in maintaining documentation, editing existing materials, and adapting content for various formats as needed.

Qualifications

Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to produce clear, structured, and accurate content for technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in research and information gathering, with the ability to interview subject matter experts and translate complex topics into understandable text.
Capability to plan and organize content, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a busy on-site environment.
Proficiency in standard office and writing tools (e.g., word processing software, collaboration platforms) and careful attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work on-site in Cebu, collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and follow health, safety, and operational protocols.
Relevant experience in technical writing, corporate communications, or journalism; exposure to mining, industrial, or engineering environments is an advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
