Our client is looking for a Fraud Prevention & Verification Analyst in the Logistics industry.

Position Overview

We are seeking detail-oriented and highly analytical Fraud Prevention Analysts to assist with carrier and broker approval reviews within the freight and logistics industry. Analysts play a critical role in helping identify potential fraud risks before freight is moved by reviewing operational data, verifying information directly with carriers, and investigating suspicious activity patterns. This role is not traditional customer service or data entry. Analysts are responsible for actively investigating and validating information to help support carrier approval decisions and ongoing monitoring activities. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable communicating professionally by phone and email, able to recognize inconsistencies, and capable of following structured investigative processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Carrier & Broker Verification

  • Review carrier and broker submissions submitted by customers
  • Verify dispatcher, contact, and operational information directly with carriers
  • Validate phone numbers, email addresses, and operational contacts
  • Cross-reference multiple internal and external data sources for inconsistencies
  • Identify potential fraud indicators, suspicious patterns, or operational red flags

Fraud Detection & Investigation

  • Review multiple fraud detection indicators including VOIP phone detection, location inconsistencies, identity mismatches, and operational behavior patterns
  • Monitor authority and business history changes
  • Escalate suspicious findings to management when necessary
  • Document all investigative findings clearly and accurately

Ongoing Carrier Monitoring

  • Monitor approved carriers daily for operational or risk-related changes
  • Review FMCSA authority updates, insurance changes, dispatcher/contact updates, and fraud

indicators

  • Update carrier approval statuses when risk factors change
  • Maintain accurate internal notes and monitoring logs

Communication Responsibilities

  • Conduct professional outbound verification calls
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with carriers and brokers
  • Request and validate operational information when necessary
  • Work closely with management regarding escalated reviews or suspicious findings

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong investigative and analytical thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Comfortable making outbound phone calls
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies and suspicious patterns
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Reliable internet and quiet work environment

Preferred Experience

  • Freight brokerage experience
  • Carrier sales or dispatch experience
  • Logistics or transportation industry experience
  • Fraud prevention or compliance experience
  • Experience using FMCSA/SAFER systems
