The Fraud Investigator is responsible for helping the organization to mitigate and manage fraud exposure and losses by ensuring business operations are performed in compliance with Government laws and set policies. Fraud investigator is tasked with, including but not limited to, investigations, developing policies and controls, creating metrics to help track and prevent fraud, and performing regular reports. The ideal candidate should have demonstrable analytical skills along with a passion for research and investigative evidence analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct objective, thorough, and timely investigations into fraud-related allegations, ensuring fairness and impartiality at all times
- Review and analyze evidence and documentation to establish fact patterns and prepare comprehensive investigation reports with clear recommendations
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams on case handling, including deposition strategies and coordination with law enforcement as needed
- Maintain investigation reports and management information systems (MIS) for tracking and monitoring cases
- Support the development and enhancement of fraud risk policies, procedures, risk limits, key risk indicators, and approval authorities
- Identify, analyze, and report fraud trends on a periodic basis to inform risk mitigation strategies
- Design and implement Fraud Early Warning Systems across revolving, installment, and liabilities products
- Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen fraud prevention measures and controls
- Perform data analysis and trend assessments to proactively identify risks and drive process improvement initiatives
- Carry out additional duties as assigned and comply with company policies and government regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree holder in any business-related courses
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Fraud Risk Management, preferably within the Philippine financial services sector
- Proven experience in fraud detection, case investigation, and analysis of customer account activities and fraud trends
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities, and make sound, timely decisions
- Effective collaborator with the ability to engage stakeholders across diverse teams and backgrounds
