What We're Looking For:
Must Have
- 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce fraud prevention, payment risk, or chargeback operations
- Strong SQL proficiency, including the ability to join multiple tables and independently investigate fraud-related questions
- Comfortable using AI/LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, internal AI systems) as part of daily workflows
- Strong understanding of:
- False-positive vs. false-negative trade-offs
- Base-rate fallacy
- Sampling and statistical significance concepts
- Working knowledge of:
- Visa VAMP
- Mastercard ECP
- 3DS authentication and liability shift mechanics
- Excellent written communication skills for async cross-functional collaboration
- Strong commercial awareness and customer empathy
Strongly Preferred
- Experience in digital goods, gift cards, gaming currencies, or app-store credit environments
- Familiarity with Asia-Pacific e-commerce markets and customer behavior patterns (JP/KR/TW markets especially valued)
- Experience handling representment and dispute evidence preparation
- Exposure to Bayesian, ML-based, or risk-scoring systems beyond basic operational usage
- Experience working in high-volume or fast-scaling e-commerce environments
Nice to Have
- Light coding or automation experience using SQL, Python, or PHP
- Experience spanning both Risk and Operations functions
- Experience building fraud reporting or monitoring dashboards
