About the role

Purpose of Role:

The FP&A Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting Diageo's performance and long-term growth byprovidingfinancial insights, deliveringaccuratereporting, and partnering with cross-functional teams. The role contributes directly to business performance management through high-quality analytics and a strong control environment.

Role Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning & Forecasting:

    • Support the delivery of theAnnual Operating Plan (AOP)and long-term strategic planning cycles.

    • Maintainmonthly performance rhythms, including landing, outlook, and scenario forecasting.

    • Ensure all market,profit-center, and functional inputs are complete, aligned, and accurately reflected.

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:

    • Performin-depth financial analysisto generate insights that inform strategic and operational decision-making.

    • Delivertimely,accuratemanagement reports includingBusiness Performance Management (BPM)packs, cash flow reporting, O&R, and working capital analyses.

    • Identifyperformance trends, risks, and opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Business Partnering:

    • Collaborate withIn-Market Finance,Regional teams, andbusiness divisionsto drive performance against targets.

    • Act as a financial advisor to stakeholders, supporting decision-making.

    • Lead projects or workstreams driving efficient processes

    • Build strong relationships with senior partners, ensuring clarity, transparency, and data-driven insights.

  • Controls, Governance & Process Excellence

    • Ensure adherence to Diageo financial policies, procedures, and control frameworks across teams and markets.

    • Help improve financial tools, reporting processes, and ways of working to increase efficiency, accuracy, and visibility.

    • Resolve day to day or moderately complex problems independently, applying sound judgment based on business knowledge and company policies.

Experience / skills required

Requirements:

. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

. 5-8 years of relevant experience in FP&A, and regional management reporting.

. Strong analytical skills, with solid working knowledge of Excel, PowerBI and exposure to systems like SAP/BW and Anaplan.

. Ability to work independently with good judgment and accountability.

. Experience inFMCGorshared servicesenvironments preferred.

. Familiarity with global finance processes, performance management cycles, and matrix organizations.

. Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management capabilities.
