About the Role

We are seeking a skilled FP&A Analyst (SQL) to support our data team in transforming raw data into insightful, actionable reporting. The ideal candidate is experienced in working with relational databases, building analytical datasets (fact tables), and creating visual dashboards that drive decision-making. This role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting using MySQL and Metabase.

The main responsibilities of an FP&A Analyst (SQL)include:

  • Design and build robust fact tables to support business reporting and analysis.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to transform and aggregate data from multiple sources.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Metabase.
  • Work with business teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
  • Validate data accuracy and ensure data integrity across reports and dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data workflows, reporting performance, and dashboard usability.
  • Document data models, processes, and dashboard logic for knowledge sharing and maintenance.

  • Proven experience as a FP&A Analyst (SQL)
  • Proficiency in MySQL and experience working with large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with Metabase for data visualization and dashboard development.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, especially fact and dimension tables.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or contract-based setting.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with other BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes or tools.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics and data analysis techniques.
