Job Summary:

The FP&A Manager is responsible for building and managing the company's budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, cash-flow forecasting, and management reporting processes. This is a hands-on role that independently develops financial models, forecasts, variance analysis, and reporting packages while partnering with the CFO and business leaders to provide actionable financial insights.

Job Description:

• Own and run annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.

• Build and maintain a driver-based annual budget model.

• Build and maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast and rolling 12-month, three-statement financial forecast.

• Forecast revenue, gross margin, COGS, operating expenses, cash flow, and other key financial drivers.

• Build scenario and sensitivity analyses to support cash runway, fundraising, growth initiatives, and resource allocation decisions.

• Deliver monthly budget-versus-actual reporting packages with written variance commentary.

• Analyze financial performance, trends, gross margins, COGS, and operating drivers.

• Develop financial and operational KPI dashboards.

• Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate financial information flows from month-end close into forecasting and analysis.

• Prepare financial presentations and reporting materials for the CFO, leadership team, investors, and other stakeholders.

• Build and maintain segment P&Ls and profitability analyses across business channels.

• Analyze seasonal and operational revenue and supply patterns.

• Partner with functional and executive leaders to improve financial visibility and decision-making.

• Support investor reporting, fundraising, and financial due diligence through financial analysis and reporting.

• Improve forecasting, planning, and management reporting processes.

• Apply AI and automation tools to financial analysis, workflow automation, and process streamlining.

• Work across connected systems used for planning and analysis, including ERP, e-commerce, payroll, and financial platforms.

• Establish scalable FP&A processes and support onboarding and training of additional finance team members as the function expands.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with US Accounting financial statements.

• Variance analysis must tie to US Accounting Principles.

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting.

• Demonstrates strong understanding of revenue, gross margin, COGS, inventory, and operating expense drivers.

• Demonstrates strong business partnering and executive communication skills.

• Comfortable as the primary builder, this role personally produces the models, forecasts, and reporting packages rather than reviewing the work of a team.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven startup environment: shifting priorities, firm reporting deadlines, and building processes while executing them.

• Proven ability to translate complex financial information into clear recommendations for executive leadership.

• Proven ability to work 8:00 AM–5:00 PM US Central or Pacific Time.

• Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.

Screening Criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience.

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting.

• Experience in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

• Experience in working with ERP financial data.

• Must have stable employment history.

• Experience in Business Central and Dynamics NAV
