Job Summary
The Warehouse Assistant plays a vital role in supporting efficient warehouse operations by organizing stock according to the 5S methodology: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a clean, organized, and productive work environment. The Warehouse Assistant is expected to assist in inventory management, stock replenishment, and maintaining accurate records while adhering strictly to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Organization 5S Implementation
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse by consistently applying the 5S principles: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
- Regularly inspect work areas to ensure tools, materials, and stocks are stored properly and labeled for easy identification and access.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and reporting opportunities to enhance efficiency, safety, and organization within the warehouse.
Inventory Handling & Order Fulfillment
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries and materials.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
- Update inventory records using warehouse systems or scanning devices.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory audits.
Warehouse Organization & Maintenance
- Ensure all items are stored in their proper locations for easy access.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and workstations.
- Follow storage protocols for proper labeling, stacking, and handling of goods.
- Report any damaged, expired, or misplaced inventory to the supervisor.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols and always wear proper PPE.
- Operate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and responsibly.
- Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices immediately.
- Comply with warehouse policies and regulatory standards.
Support
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Provide support to other warehouse staff and departments as needed.
- Help with cycle counting, returns, and restocking tasks.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on procedures and expectations
Qualification & Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational training or TESDA certification of NCII is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory-related roles preferred.
- Experience in retail, distribution, or e-commerce warehouse settings is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Can safely operate automatic electric and manual lifter.
- Familiar and applies the First Expiry, First Out (FEFO) system to manage product rotation.
- Familiar with basic inventory systems and standard stock management procedures.
- Uses handheld scanners to update and track inventory accurately.
- Able to use warehouse software or apps to log and monitor stock data.
- Packs, labels, and organizes items properly to ensure correct product handling.
- Follows safety protocols and uses personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Safely handling loading, unloading, and shipment preparation efficiently
Soft Skills:
- Works collaboratively with team members to support smooth warehouse operations.
- Communicates clearly when reporting issues or receiving instructions.
- Pays close attention to detail when handling inventory and fulfilling orders.
- Manages time effectively to meet daily targets and deadlines.
- Adapts quickly to changes in workload, priorities, or procedures.
- Reliable and completes assigned tasks consistently with minimal supervision.
- Identifies and resolves minor issues independently during operations.
Physical Requirements:

- Frequent bending, reaching, crouching, and stretching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The Forklift Operator works in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, primarily within the companys warehouse facility. The role involves standing for extended periods, lifting and moving items up to 25kg, and operating in varying temperatures and moderate noise levels. Safety is a top priority, with the use of proper protective equipment and adherence to warehouse protocols. Work schedules may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs.
