The Flight Dispatcher is the one responsible for the dispatch and monitoring of flights in a specific area of responsibility in accordance with civil aviation regulations and company policies and standards in order to ensure safety and efficiency of operations.
Who Are We Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree Holder in Aeronautical Engineering or any aviation related course (e.g. Air Transportation)
- With a valid Flight Operations Dispatcher license
- Knowledgeable and familiar in Airline Operations and CAAP regulations
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
Major Responsibility Areas
- Prepare an operational flight plan for all flights under his jurisdiction with the best route and flight level, most economical fuel consumption, and outmost comfort to passengers considering weather, NOTAMs and other operational constraints.
- Has joint authority with the Pilot in Command (PIC) over the decision functions, duties or tasks associated with the operational control of each flight.
- Decide whether a flight can be conducted and completed safely and in accordance with company policies and local and international Civil Air Regulations.
- Maintain constant vigilance on all aircraft operations, meteorological conditions, navigational and airport facilities.
- Actively involves with Safety Management System by reporting all accidents, incidents and any hazard in the workplace and being safety conscious by exercising duty of care in the performance of duties.
- Record and report all irregularities and events including the activation safety and emergency measures.
- Monitors the progress of all PAL express flights and provides information that may be necessary to safety.
