Job Description
The Fleet Operations Supervisor ensures total fleet reliability, strict LTO/permit compliance, and cost-effective preventive maintenance to keep daily transport operations running seamlessly. Success in this vital role means eliminating operational downtime, safeguarding company assets, and directly supporting the supply chain's overall performance and growth.
Responsibilities
- Fleet Availability & Utilization: Monitor vehicle uptime, downtime, aging, and capacity to ensure full fleet availability for daily operations.
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Oversee PM schedules, analyze recurring breakdowns, identify root causes, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Vendor & Network Management: Build and manage a network of accredited repair shops, negotiate service pricing, and evaluate supplier performance.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all vehicle registrations (LTO), insurance policies, permits, and regulatory documents are updated and compliant.
- Performance Tracking & Analytics: Maintain operational dashboards to track uptime, repair frequency, and costs while recommending data-driven improvements.
- Emergency & Operational Support: Coordinate emergency road repairs, replacement vehicles, and contingency plans to maintain business continuity.
- Process Improvement & Auditing: Conduct internal fleet audits and continuously improve workflows through standardization, SOP creation, and policy enforcement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree holder of Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or any Engineering, Transportation / Business related courses
- Minimum 3+ years of direct experience managing commercial vehicle fleets and automotive maintenance
- Strong knowledge of Philippine land transport regulations, including LTO registration renewals, permit processing, and vehicle insurance requirements.
- Solid understanding of preventive maintenance (PM) protocols, mechanical troubleshooting, and vendor management for auto repair shops.
- Proven track record in supervising drivers/technicians, handling emergency vehicle breakdowns, and enforcing safety standards.
