Role Description The Fixed Income Desk Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Alveo, Makati. This position oversees the bank's fixed income trading and investment activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, internal risk limits, and profitability targets. The role involves managing fixed income portfolios, developing trading strategies, monitoring market trends, and executing trades in government and corporate securities. The Fixed Income Desk Head collaborates with treasury, risk management, and senior leadership to optimize returns, support liquidity management, and contribute to product development. Daily responsibilities also include supervising desk staff, preparing performance reports, and maintaining strong relationships with counterparties and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in Trading fixed income securities, with strong execution skills and familiarity with trading platforms.
- Solid foundation in Finance and Investments, with the ability to analyze markets, instruments, and economic trends.
- Proficiency in Fixed-Income Investing and Portfolio Management, including duration management, yield curve analysis, and risk mitigation.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and risk assessment skills, with the ability to interpret financial models and reports.
- Knowledge of Philippine financial markets, banking regulations, and central bank policies.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, including mentoring and performance oversight.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., TCP and SEC) are required.
- Relevant experience in treasury, fixed income, or capital markets, preferably in a banking environment.
