Overview
Responsible for the month-end closing of asset (fixed assets and inventory) accounts and systems and process improvements of asset related processes.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounting for fixed assets and inventories in a timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining the balance sheet accounts for fixed assets and inventories 100% reconciled and supported.
- Accounts for fixed assets depreciation.
- Accounts for intercompany transactions related to assets.
- Ensure routine asset counts take place as per Property Plant and Equipment (PPE) Policy and Inventory Policy and work with Asset Supervision Manager to manage the process.
- Ensure proper accounting for CAPEX projects.
- Check and validate all transactions under SAP PM-MM modules and other systems such as BSS, MSS and OSS, and ensure timely recording of costs and proper valuation of inventories to ensure accurate management reports consistent with accounting policies.
- Coordinate the activities of the team across DITO departments.
- Maintain the highest ethical and integrity standards in all internal and external dealings and internal and external relationships.
- Review relevant business processes and propose improvements to increase efficiency.
- Complete relevant period-end closing activities and provide support in the consolidation activities whenever required.
- Provide inputs, assistance and submit relevant reports needed by reporting team and other business units, as required or needed.
- Attend internal and external audit requirements to help ensure successful completion of audits.
Employment Standards
- Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in costs and inventory accounting, fixed assets and CAPEX, general accounting
- Minimum of three (3) years hands-on experience in SAP PM-MM and FICO module
- Knowledgeable of internal controls related to fixed assets and inventory
Job Skills & Qualifications
- College graduate with a degree in Accountancy; Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Preferably with Telecommunications industry experience or similar industry
