Job Summary
We are seeking a Fixed Asset Associate to oversee the recording, monitoring, and control of company fixed assets. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate asset tracking, proper capitalization, depreciation recording, and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the company's fixed asset register.
- Record asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation.
- Monitor asset movements and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and asset verification.
- Reconcile fixed asset balances with the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly depreciation schedules and related journal entries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Generate fixed asset reports for management, audit, and compliance purposes.
- Coordinate with departments regarding asset purchases, transfers, and disposals.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, general accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of fixed asset management and accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.
- Exposure to audit and financial reporting processes.
