Job Description

The First Aid Responder serves as the frontline medical and safety responder for incidents involving drivers, passengers, and fleet assets. The role focuses on immediate first aid, on-site stabilization, and emergency coordination during road accidents, medical emergencies, and operational incidents.

The responder ensures that injured individuals receive immediate care while coordinating with hospitals, emergency services, Command Center teams, and authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Emergency First Aid Response
  • Respond immediately to incidents involving drivers or passengers.
  • Provide basic life support and first aid treatment (CPR, bleeding control, immobilization, shock management).
  • Stabilize injured individuals until professional medical services arrive.
  • Ensure the safety of victims and prevent further harm.
  • Accident Scene Management
  • Arrive at accident locations and assess the situation.
  • Secure the immediate area to prevent secondary incidents.
  • Coordinate ambulance dispatch when required.
  • Assist in safely transferring injured persons to medical facilities.
  • Command Center Coordination
  • Maintain real-time communication with the Command Center Duty Manager.
  • Provide status updates during emergencies.
  • Support escalation protocols for serious incidents.
  • Incident Documentation

Document Incidents Through

  • Photos and videos
  • Timeline of events
  • Witness details
  • Injury observations
  • Submit structured incident reports for operations, legal, and insurance teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: At least college level or vocational training
  • Preferred Certifications
  • First Aid Certification
  • CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Emergency Medical Responder (preferred but not required)

Experience

Experience in any of the following is highly preferred:

  • Emergency response
  • Medical first response
  • Safety / rescue operations
  • Security or incident management

Required Skills

  • Strong situational awareness
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Basic medical knowledge
  • Clear documentation skills
  • Strong coordination with authorities and emergency services
  • Physically fit and capable of field deployment

Working Conditions

  • Field-based role (responding to road incidents)
