Job Description

Reporting directly to Asia Finance Shared Service, Team Manager, the Financial Senior Specialist is primarily accountable for general accounting and reporting through timely and accurate service delivery.

Responsibilities include the following:

The role, under general supervision, is responsible for conducting moderately complex financial, accounting and economic analyses, including journal entry preparation, detailed calculations and internal and external reporting. People Leader Role: No Essential Responsibilities: Individual Responsibilities: 80% Production of Financial Results

. Responsible for Expense Management activities including accounting, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, analysis, and customer support.

. Responsible for performing accounting activities such as creating standard and non-standard journal entries, reconciling complex general ledger accounts, and preparing state filings, footnotes, and financial statement pages.

. Responsible for analyzing financial results, detecting aberrations and providing commentary with respect to specific areas of focus.

. Works on semi-structured assignments based on existing practices and within guidelines. . Proposes and implements data management efficiencies

. Other duties as assigned Shared Responsibilities: 20% Collaborate Team Support

. Shares best practices with other team members and makes recommendations for process improvements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience with progressive responsibility within the Accounting and management reporting field at least 3 of which internally with an international organization or Shared Service Center.
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and excellent analytical skills
  • Self-starter and team player with a high level of initiative, strong work ethic and the ability to gather, synthesize, organize and report information
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of accounting rules, regulatory rules and/or business processes as it pertains to the accountant's sphere of responsibility (e.g., a set of regulatory filings or account reconciliations)
  • Demonstrates emerging to solid proficiency in own discipline still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrates emerging ability to draft managerial reporting narratives. Decision Authorities:
  • Prioritizing and reprioritizing work deliverables and projects for internal clients based on changing business needs (deadlines, costs, scope of projects)
  • Day to Day operational decision-making authority
  • Decisions beyond normal day to day may require escalation to management
  • Managing projects and major deliverables
  • Recommending and implementing process improvements

Challenges:

Training junior members of the team on migrated tasks and handling review function to ensure the team's overall accuracy and timeliness. Delivery of financial reports and analyses under tight deadlines. Create and continuously develop more effective controls to ensure accuracy of reports and cost efficiency.

Position Dimensions (Organizational Impact):

  • The Senior Financial Analyst role is primary responsible in driving migration projects through accurate and timely reporting.
