Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce, with a major in Accounting
  • CPA qualification or equivalent, either completed or nearing completion
  • 1-2 years of hands-on financial reporting experience
  • Strong working knowledge and practical application of IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting fundamentals
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet reporting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team

Responsibilities

  • Produce complete and accurate IFRS-compliant financial reports for assigned client engagements
  • Research and resolve technical accounting matters affecting financial statement preparation and presentation
  • Build and maintain consolidation schedules, cash flow analyses, and supporting financial documentation
  • Support audit readiness by responding to information requests and working directly with client audit teams
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to gather required information and keep reporting deliverables on track
  • Partner with managers to manage reporting priorities, resolve engagement issues, and maintain clear communication with clients and auditors
  • Monitor engagement progress to ensure work is delivered within agreed quality, timing, and budget expectations
