Job Description

Overview

The Senior Financial Reporting Associate will be a key player in (1) delivering accurate and complete recording and reporting of Financial Statements, (2) designing process for improvements and automation, and (3) collaborating with peers and business partners to work productively and achieve a common goal.

Functions

  • Liaise and collaborate with different departments to ensure completeness of expenses needed for recognition of accruals and monitoring.
  • Evaluate need for recognition of prepayments, monthly amortizations and monitoring.
  • Prepares loans schedule monitoring and accrual of interest.
  • Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations affecting loans, accrued liabilities and prepaid accounts.
  • Analyze general ledger movements for trending and in-depth analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements (SOFP, SOCI, SOCE and SOCF) and notes to FS supporting documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of Regulatory reporting every quarter and annually to COA, PSA, National Treasury and NTC.
  • Coordinates with internal and external auditors to provide requested information.
  • Participate in Financial Reporting plans and discussions to provide valuable input with overall reporting.
  • Work with IT department discussing in detail the needed process for improvements and automation.

  • Strong coordination, communication, judgement and collaboration skills to interact positively across all levels of organization
  • Knowledge in accounting concepts and standards
  • Knowledge in financial controls and processes
  • Can handle multi-tasked responsibilities and high tolerance for pressure is a must.
  • Trustworthy and Reliable: Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
  • Team player: Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy
  • 1-3 years experience
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

Preferred:

  • Experienced auditor
  • Knowledgeable in SAP

This is for a fixed-term employment of 3 months.
