Job Summary
The Financial & Regulatory Reporting Officer is responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate preparation of financial and regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), regulatory requirements, and internal controls. This role also leads the month-end close process, supports audits, drives process improvements, and manages a high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly and annual financial close and ensure accurate financial and regulatory reporting.
- Review financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with PFRS, applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Oversee general ledger integrity and coordinate with internal stakeholders on financial reporting requirements.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports while ensuring compliance with government and regulatory agencies.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to strengthen controls, efficiency, and reporting quality.
- Manage, coach, and develop the finance team, including performance management and training.
- Ensure compliance with audit, risk, information security, and corporate governance policies.
- Perform other finance and reporting responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller, CFO, or Senior Management.
Qualifications
- At least 3–5 years of experience in financial regulatory reporting, or controllership, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of PFRS, Philippine accounting standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience in external/internal audits, financial statement preparation, and general ledger management.
- Proven leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
