Job Description

The Financial Product Development Lead is responsible for managing auto loan and financing products while serving as the primary liaison with partner banks and financial institutions. The role oversees the end-to-end processing of car loan applications, coordinates with banking partners to secure financing approvals, and ensures efficient delivery of lending solutions to customers. The position leads a team responsible for loan processing, partner relationship management, and financing product growth.

Key Responsibilities

Auto Loan Processing & Bank Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all car loan financing applications.
  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end processing of auto loan applications with partner banks and financial institutions.
  • Coordinate with bank relationship managers, credit teams, and underwriting departments to facilitate loan approvals.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely submission of customer loan requirements.
  • Monitor application status and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Resolve issues, exceptions, and documentation concerns that may impact loan approval and release.

Bank Partnership Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with partner banks and lending institutions.
  • Negotiate financing programs, loan terms, promotional rates, and partnership agreements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand financing options and improve approval rates.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with banking partners to improve service levels and turnaround times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking, lending, product management, or financial services.
  • Proven experience managing car loan products, consumer lending products, or retail banking products.
  • Strong understanding of lending operations, credit risk, product development, and banking regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
