We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to support financial planning, forecasting, and cost analysis activities. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate standard costing, analyzing financial performance, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Consolidate annual budgets and monthly forecasts in coordination with operations and support teams
- Review financial plans and forecasts to ensure accuracy and reasonableness
- Analyze actual results versus forecasts and prior periods, providing variance explanations
- Prepare monthly financial reports and closing requirements, including reconciliations
- Monitor manufacturing costs and maintain accurate standard costing data
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions
- Support management reporting and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and SOX requirements
- Provide support to the FP&A Shared Services Manager and participate in special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA is preferred
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in cost accounting or financial analysis
- Background in a manufacturing or high-tech environment is an advantage
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of variance analysis, expense analysis, and financial reporting
- Experience in planning and forecasting processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience using ERP systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial information
- Team-oriented with good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
