Job Summary
The Financial Specialist (Junior) FP&A primarily supports the FP&A Manager in preparing financial reports, assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities, and performing basic financial analysis. This role is ideal for candidates with 12 years of experience who are looking to grow their career in Financial Planning & Analysis.
The position requires strong attention to detail, good analytical skills, and the ability to interpret financial data and present insights clearly to stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly budget utilization reports comparing actual results versus approved budgets
- Support departments in preparing annual budget requests and documentation
- Help consolidate company-wide financial and operating budgets for management review
- Monitor budget versus actual performance and flag variances for discussion
- Assist in reviewing purchase requisitions (including CAPEX) to ensure budget availability and correct charge codes
- Support the preparation of profit and loss segmental reports
- Extract and analyze financial data from the NAV system
- Assist in preparing financial models and basic forecasting reports
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and other teams to gather relevant financial data
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the FP&A Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or any related course
- 12 years of experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, or a similar role
- Basic knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting processes
- Familiarity with computerized accounting systems
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Willing to learn and able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good to Have
- Experience working in a corporate finance or FP&A team
- Knowledge of NAV system
- CPA/CMA certification (or currently pursuing)
