About the role

  • Lead assigned month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close workstreams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of outputs.
  • Perform journal entries and review financial statements.
  • Work and collaborate with other finance teams in the reporting and analysis of financial statements.
  • Strengthen governance for assigned areas by setting standards for reconciliations, schedules, and timely clearing of reconciling items; escalate risks early and drive cross-team resolution
  • Work closely with the audit team to complete annual external audit and tax filings, including timely closure of audit queries for assigned reporting areas
  • Performing various research and financial analysis to assist in the identification of potential accounting issues, or as may be required by leadership
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records, schedules and including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to bank transactions.
  • Knowledge of all financial data sources within the business and the ability to effectively utilize these data sources for reporting purposes
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead process improvement efforts to increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in financial reporting.
  • Participating in ad hoc projects and performing other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Must Haves

  • An Accounting or Finance-related degree
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
  • With at least 5 years of relevant experience in financial and management reporting.
  • Robust knowledge of finance and accounting principles, general business practices, and financial statements techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various levels throughout the organization
  • Highly organized and sharp, detail-oriented, and demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
