Financial Controller
Remote | Full-Time
Starts from PHP 150,000 per month
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function and oversee financial reporting, compliance, and operational performance across the business.
This role will work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic financial direction, ensure strong governance, and support business growth through data-driven insights. You will be responsible for managing the finance team, leading budgeting and forecasting activities, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP and statutory requirements
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management and stakeholders
- Manage internal and external audits, including implementation of audit recommendations
- Oversee tax compliance, including VAT/GST and other statutory obligations
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling processes
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making
- Monitor financial KPIs and drive cost optimization initiatives
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team across accounting functions
- Set team objectives and KPIs aligned with business goals
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Systems, Controls & Process Improvement
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Drive improvements in accounting processes and ERP system utilization
- Identify opportunities for automation and increased reporting efficiency
- Assess and mitigate financial risks to support business continuity
Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Support business planning, investment analysis, and operational reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification required
- 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in financial reporting, FP&A, compliance, and audit management
- Experience managing finance teams of 5–15+ members
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Technical Requirement
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Essential: Experience with Pronto ERP software
