JOB DESCRIPTION
Satellite Teams is looking for a Financial Controller / Budget Manager to oversee the company's financial operations, reporting, and budgeting processes. This role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and effective allocation of resources to support business growth.
The ideal candidate combines accounting expertise, budgeting and forecasting skills, and analytical decision-making to drive financial health and operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and automate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
- Monitor spending versus performance across channels on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Partner with leadership to provide actionable insights for achieving positive cash flow and improving the bottom line in a seasonal business.
- Define key financial metrics and monitor performance across departments.
- Implement financial tools and systems to streamline processes and increase accuracy.
- Ensure consistency, reliability, and timeliness of financial data and reporting.
- Support ad hoc financial analyses to guide strategic decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Senior-level experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and controlling operations.
- Hands-on experience implementing financial systems and automating processes.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Shopify, and spreadsheets. Experience with ERP systems (Odoo or similar) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
- Experience working in seasonal or multi-channel businesses is a plus.
