About The Job
The Financial controller lead s and manage s the Finance Controlling functions of the company which includes T ax, A ccounting, F inancial reporting , Technical Controlling, Finance Operations , and including other related activities . He/she is the keeper of the Company's accounting and regulatory compliance - ensur ing financial information of the Company complies with applicable accounting and regulatory framework. He/she also develop s and implement s business strategies in driving maxim um performance of the Controlling department
What You'll Do
- Provides strategic leadership and management of all financial controlling and related activities:
- Finance operations day-to-day operations of the company finances such as, AP/disbursement, AR processes, fixed asset management, etc.
- Technical Controlling advisory on accounting and regulatory implications
- Accounting, financial reporting and controls bookkeeping, GL analysis, internal (Head Office reporting) and external reporting (BSP, SEC), including statutory and regulatory audits
- Taxation tax compliance, reporting, transfer pricing, advisory, and audit
- Ensures compliance of the Company's accounting, financial reporting, and taxation with relevant accounting standards (i.e., PFRS) and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Develops and/or enhances, implements, and ensures compliance with comprehensive financial policies and procedures of the Company.
- Develops, monitors, and strengthens systems of internal controls over financial reporting and day-to-day finance activities.
- Provides guidance and technical support on accounting, taxation and financial reporting issues, and impact of various proposed transactions, new products, new processes, and changes in regulations
- Delivers timely and accurate financial information to appropriate internal (executive management, BOD) and external parties (regulators, partners).
- Ensure quality controls over financial transactions, taxation, and financial reporting
- Streamlines the financial accounting processes throughout the company
- Provides leadership in strengthening staff with a commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training a diverse team
- Supports the CFO and the rest of executive team of the company in driving best practices across the company in corporate governance, ethical standards, and sustainable business practices.
What Yo Need to Have
- Minimum of 12 years (with at least 5 years of managerial experience) on finance controlling related work , CPA is an advantage
- Experience in process improvements
- Excellent knowledge on PFRS and regulations affecting financial services (e.g., SEC, BIR, BSP)
- Experience in financial services industry
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels (finance and non-financial)
- Experienced/knowledgeable in ERP systems (particularly SAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Word, and Power point
