About CCA Manila

The Center for Culinary Arts, Manila (CCA Manila) is the Philippines premier culinary institution, offering diploma, certificate, and continuing education programs for aspiring chefs, bakers, and food entrepreneurs. As we continue to grow and expand our campuses and programs, we are looking for a highly capable Senior Finance Manager to help steer the institution's financial health and long-term sustainability.

Position Overview

The Financial Controller is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations of CCA Manila. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will drive financial strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the institution's mission of delivering world-class culinary education. The role covers multiple campuses and business units, including academic programs, restaurant schools, and continuing education operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Strategy

  • Lead the preparation of the annual budget, multi-year financial projections, and long-range financial plans aligned with CCA Manila's strategic direction.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership on tuition pricing, program investments, capital expenditures, and expansion plans.
  • Identify and assess financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Financial Reporting & Control

  • Oversee timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Ensure the integrity of all financial records across all campuses and business units.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.

Compliance & Regulatory Affairs

  • Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, CHED, TESDA, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors.
  • Oversee tax planning and ensure timely filing of all statutory requirements.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital across all operations.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
  • Manage banking relationships and optimize financing arrangements.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with academic, operations, and marketing teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA license is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in an educational institution, hospitality group, or multi-unit business is a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, PFRS, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
