Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially focused Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, governance, and financial processes across a portfolio of client businesses. This role requires managing and coordinating with multiple outsourced bookkeeping teams, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and strict adherence to monthly reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close processes across multiple entities and bookkeeping teams.
- Liaise with multiple outsourced bookkeeping providers to ensure consistency and quality of financial data.
- Drive adherence to tight monthly reporting deadlines and structured close timelines.
- Prepare monthly management reports including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
- Perform variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
- Maintain financial models, budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Payroll Review
- Support board and executive reporting packs.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years finance experience, ideally in Financial Controller or Senior Accountant roles.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance.
- Advanced Xero experience.
- Familiarity with Hubdoc, Dext or similar document capture systems.
- Proven experience managing outsourced or remote finance teams preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
