Role Overview
The Financial Control & Compliance Director is responsible for overseeing financial controls, compliance, accounting operations, tax coordination, audit management, and governance processes across the organization. The role ensures financial integrity, operational compliance, and effective risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial control, governance, and compliance initiatives
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and audit coordination
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Manage risk assessment, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives
- Partner with internal and external auditors on audit and compliance requirements
- Drive standardization and optimization of finance processes and controls
- Support tax planning, compliance, and regulatory reporting activities
- Review operational and financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Lead finance systems and process enhancement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
- CPA required/preferred
- 10+ years of experience in controllership, audit, compliance, or finance operations
- Experience in retail, FMCG, consumer, or multinational environments preferred
- Strong understanding of financial controls, audit, and accounting standards
- Experience managing large-scale finance operations and compliance initiatives
- Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
