Job Description

In this role, you will support our mission by ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and highquality reporting that enables sound business decisions. You'll work closely with a collaborative team, gain exposure to insurance regulatory reporting, and grow your expertise across multiple accounting systems and tools. This position offers the opportunity to build a strong foundation in financial accounting while contributing to work that truly matters.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare standard journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and support the preparation of state filings, footnotes, and financial statements.
  • Apply working knowledge of accounting rules, regulatory requirements, and internal business processes within your area of responsibility.
  • Conduct basic financial analysis and support issue identification and resolution.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with managers and colleagues to address issues and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Gain proficiency with MS Excel, Essbase, Lawson accounting segments, and JETS for journal entry processing.
  • Demonstrate commitment to expanding knowledge of accounting bas es and the life insurance regulatory environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Up to 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in general ledger, reporting, or financial analysis.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel familiarity with Essbase is an advantage.
  • Experience preparing journal entries and/or account reconciliations.
