Financial and Tax Analyst

Key Responsibilities

As a Financial and Tax Analyst, you will:

✅ Prepare and file tax returns, including supporting schedules, worksheets, Alphalists, Summary Lists of Sales and Purchases, and other BIR requirements.

✅ Ensure accurate and timely filing and payment of taxes with the BIR and other government agencies.

✅ Maintain compliance with books of accounts requirements, including registration, maintenance, and submission when required.

✅ Assist during BIR audits, tax assessments, and investigations by preparing and organizing necessary documentation.

✅ Maintain accurate and complete tax records and supporting documents.

✅ Reconcile tax-related accounts and prepare corresponding journal entries.

✅ Prepare audit schedules and required documents for interim and annual external audits.

✅ Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all company bank accounts.

✅ Monitor updates in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on company operations.

✅ Recommend process improvements to strengthen compliance and increase operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:

✔ Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any related field

✔ At least 2 to 3 years of experience in tax compliance and accounting

✔ Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, including:

• Value Added Tax (VAT)
• Withholding Taxes
• Income Tax
• BIR regulations and procedures

✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

✔ High attention to detail and accuracy

✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

✔ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

✔ High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Experience handling BIR audits, tax assessments, and investigations

⭐ Experience supporting annual audit engagements

⭐ Familiarity with tax compliance requirements for local companies

⭐ Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
