Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and decision making processes within the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and provide insights to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial models and scenarios for decision-making purposes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by reconciling accounts and conducting periodic audits.
- Provide explanations and interpretations of financial results to management and other departments as needed.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyse trends and drivers of revenue, expenses, and profitability to support strategic initiatives.
- Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses to address specific business questions and challenges.
- Assist in assessing financial risks and opportunities, and recommend strategies to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market developments that may impact the company's financial position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the fintech payments industry or a related field.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications; experience with ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
