Job Description

The position will work closely with all levels of the organization, drive the reporting function

for reinsurance and support various other modeling requirements. Responsible for the

preparation, monitoring, reporting, and compliance in finance, regulatory and reinsurance.

Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):

Reinsurance Accounting:

  • Analyze the booking of reinsurance premiums, expense, income, and losses.
  • Monitoring and processing reinsurance settlement in compliance with existing contract and company policies.
  • On time presentation and sending of statement of account to reinsurers.
  • Maintain effective relationship with all internal and external counterparts.

Regulatory Reporting:

  • Perform month-end closing activities for reinsurance.
  • Prepares and analyzes financial reports and documents in compliance with reportorial requirements of government agencies (IC, BSP, PSA, PIRA, etc.).
  • Acts as coordinator in finance related activities involving reinsurance as required in the preparation of IC Annual Statements, monitors submission and checks accuracy of schedules and attachments, initiates resolution of noted issues/discrepancies and elevates to Finance Head as necessary.

Financial Reporting (Reinsurance):

  • Preparation of profit and loss analysis.
  • Preparation of balance sheet analysis.
  • Preparation of cash flow forecast analysis.
  • Preparation of assigned financial reports and ensures accuracy and compliance with set KPI.

Job Skills And Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  • At least 1-3 years or more professional experience, preferably in non-life insurance and
  • reinsurance or in a similar role.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Preferable with knowledge of non-life insurance.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and deliver results on time under pressure.
  • Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
