Overview

Northern Trust is seeking an FP&A Analyst / Senior Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial analysis activities. This role partners closely with business leaders and global finance teams to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze financial results and explain key P&L variances, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for business stakeholders.
• Support annual planning and budgeting activities.
• Assist with month-end close processes, including accruals, reclassifications, and financial adjustments.
• Partner with finance and business teams across global locations to deliver financial insights and recommendations.
• Drive process improvements and reporting automation initiatives.
• Participate in ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Analyst: 2+ years of experience; Senior Analyst: 4+ years of experience in FP&A, budgeting & forecasting, management reporting, corporate finance, business partnering, or related finance functions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with financial systems such as TM1/Cognos, Hyperion (HFM), PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools is an advantage.
• CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred but not required.
